This is a very fun and visually striking alphabet book that would be great for kids of all ages. Throughout the book, there are bright and interesting photographs depicting people and places around San Antonio that correspond to the letters of the alphabet. In addition, there is a visual "letter treasure hunt" that encourages people to look around the city for hidden letters and some more detailed information on some of the sites and people that make San Antonio great. A definite must-have for residents or visitors to San Antonio, and a great addition to anybody's ABC book collection!
I think this book is a great memento of San Antonio. The book introduces you to several unqiue facets of San Antonio. As a mother of two preschoolers, children's birthday parties are a frequent weekend activity for our family. We give this book out at birthday parties to introduce kids both to the letters as well as the great activities surrounding them.
"ABC San Antonio" serves as a souvenir for the San Antonio visitor or out-of-state friends and relatives you are luring to visit you here in Texas. The book introduces to you the scavenger hunt of activities that await you year-round in the Alamo City.

This book has beautiful photographs from all over San Antonio. It is a family effort as some of the photos were taken by the author's husband and son! The descriptions of the 10 San Antonians in the back provides a peek into some of the unique lives of the people who live there. The bios are succinct and well written and really interesting. All the little details are what make this book truly fun. The alphabet letters themselves are photographs taken around town and the addresses are provided so you can find them. The index provides extra snippets of information and websites to open up a world of more. There are lots of books for kids and lots of books for adults but this is a great book for parents and children to enjoy together - and that's a rare find. Kudo's to Ms. Rogers and her crew!
