Concise and full of basic info.
Very informative and interesting. The author knows about raising chickens and how to care or them.
I was so disappointed because I could not see any of the illustrations.
Not very interesting, my opinion. I'm not a country girl.
I enjoyed the text but could not see the pics on the kindle version, Who do I need to contact to get the pics from the book.
This was a very straight forward and helpful book on the basics of raising chickens. The instructions were clear, easy to understand and full of healthy suggestions. I love the idea of building my own coop for my flock and the plans for that were also easy to follow.
I bought the paperback version, and was looking forward to getting the plans for building chicken coops and nesting boxes. Unfortunately, the book has a plan for only one A-frame coop. No nesting box. There was an illustration of the sort of coop I want to build, but only instructions for the run that attaches to it. This is a VERY basic book too basic for my needs. y's Guide to Raising Chickens was much more useful, and it contains plans for a coop.
